Spencer serves as Senior Vice President and Senior Counsel for Commonwealth National Title's New York National Commercial Services (NYC NCS) operation. Prior to joining the title insurance industry in 2001, he practiced real estate law for over a decade in New York City law firms such as Rogers & Wells (now Clifford Chance), Latham and Watkins, and Paul Weiss, specializing in commercial leasing and financing transactions. 

Spencer served as the 2022-2023 Chair of the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA) Real Property Law Section. He is a regular contributor to LexisNexis electronic publications, NYSBA’s Real Property Law Journal, and The Practical Real Estate Lawyer. Spencer is a frequent CLE lecturer for NYSBA as well as The Practising Law Institute and ICSC-LAW. He graduated cum laude from Brooklyn Law School. He resides in Brooklyn, New York and is a frequent volunteer at the Cornwall Connecticut Food Pantry.
